What is zero-access mail?

Ordinary mail is private only as long as everyone with server access behaves. Zero-access mail removes the ability, not just the permission.

Ordinary mailbox

  • Your provider can read every message it stores
  • A leaked database is a leaked inbox
  • Admins can open any mailbox they manage
  • Your password travels to the server on every sign-in

team99 Mail

  • Mail is sealed to your key before it is stored
  • A database dump yields only ciphertext
  • Admins manage accounts, never contents
  • Your password never leaves this browser

We do not read your mail

We cannot. The key is yours.

We do not keep plaintext

Bodies and subjects are ciphertext at rest.

We log what admins do

Every account action lands in an audit trail.

Features

More than just an inbox

Sealed in your browser

Messages between team99.tech addresses are encrypted before they leave your device, with XChaCha20-Poly1305 and a fresh key per message.

Screened before sealing

SPF, DKIM and DMARC results, look-alike domains, display-name spoofs and risky attachments are flagged the moment mail arrives.

Your own domain

Every address is @team99.tech. Aliases and a catch-all route mail to the right inbox without exposing who reads it.

A phrase, not a backdoor

A 24-word recovery phrase restores access without anyone else ever holding your key. Lose both and the mail stays sealed: that is the point.

Frequently asked questions

Can an administrator read my mail?

No. Admins can create, suspend and reset mailboxes, but the key that opens your mail is wrapped with your password inside your browser. No copy the server can use exists.

What happens if I forget my password?

Use your 24-word recovery phrase to set a new one and keep all your mail. Without the phrase, an admin can only reset the mailbox, which permanently erases its contents.

Is mail to Gmail or Outlook encrypted too?

Mail between team99.tech addresses is end-to-end encrypted. Mail to outside providers is sent over TLS, because those recipients have no key of ours; your Sent copy is still stored encrypted.

How is spam filtered if the server cannot read mail?

Filtering happens at the single moment a message arrives, before it is sealed. Only the score and warning flags are kept, so the inbox can warn you without the body ever being readable.

Your inbox, sealed in seconds.
